Professor Anthony Jones at the Salford Royal Foundation Trust Hospital is about to conduct a research study entitled:"Pain control in patients with osteoarthritis, RA, fibromyalgia, IBS and also healthy volounteers.
He has asked me if any of our clients are able to take part in this study.
The purpose of this study is to find out if patients with chronic pain release enough endorphins, the chemical that helps us deal with the unpleasantness of pain.
The long term aim of this research is to investigate methods of boosting the release of these chemicals in patients who have chronic pain.
You will be required to make 3 visits to hospital within a 2 week period and receive reimbursement for your time and travel.
