Julia is a chartered,hcpc registered physiotherapist with 30 years of experience in rehabilitative exercise. She became interested in pilates after suffering neck problems and since specialising in teaching Pilates in 1998 has worked with many top sports people and teams. Her main goal when opening PhysioPilates was to make exercise safe, challenging and effective for individuals, especially those with postural problems.

Jane trained initially in classical ballet, contemporary dance modern jazz, tap and national dance and has performed world-wide. Jane has over 16 years experience in teaching Pilates and her skilled approach makes her classes popular.She challenges the Pilates method with her unique choreographed routines.She is also our most experienced beginners teacher.

Diane is a well known and highly respected exercise teacher in the Cheshire area. Her classes are exciting and challenging across all the levels.She is an extremely talented, imaginative and skillful teacher. Her experience in her 30 years of teaching exercise is deep and varied.

Pauline has a background in health and fitness. Formerly a singer, she brings enjoyment and fun to Pilates whist keeping the discipline of the method. She ran her own studio in Brittany for 2 years and we were delighted when she decided to return back to us! Pauline is a skilled, patient teacher to all levels of ability.

Lauri

Lauri has a business background but has always had an active interest in health and fitness. Her interest developed into a career when inspired by the teaching at the Wilmslow Physio and Pilates Centre. Lauris warm, encouraging manner makes clients feel at ease.

Dee

Dee is a Chartered Physiotherapist, member of the association of chartered physiotherapist in Women’s Health (ACPWH), HCPC registered and a mum of four. She specialises in ante and post natal physiotherapy (in particular pregnancy related pelvic girdle pain) and uses Pilates principles and exercises in her daily treatments. She has personally practiced Pilates at Wilmslow for over 4 years and has undertaken further post graduate training with the Australian Physio and Pilates institute (APPI).

Tracey Qualified with Body Control Pilates in 2005, coming top in her year in the theory exams. She returned to the studio after completing her treatment for Breast Cancer, which was diagnosed in 2007. Following her various treatments, she realised how vital pilates exercise was to her recovery and now specialises in teaching that assists with rehabilitation following injury or illness.

Alexis moved from a 25 year career as a lawyer to join the team. She has always had a keen interest in exercise from aerobics in the 1980’s to attending the gym and running half marathons. She first came to the studio 7 years ago with a bad back. Pilates both helped to resolve her injury and strengthened her posture and physique. This inspired her to share her passion for the technique with others. Her positive approach will motivate you to progress at any level.
Jess Varnish

Jess Varnish

Jess is a multiple World and European medalist and an Olympian in track cycling. Jess first took up Pilates 4 years ago when she suffered a back injury. Working with Julia at the studio got her back to competing at the highest level. Pilates became an integral part of Jess's training from then on, it helped to maintain balance in her body and complemented the demands of her training perfectly. Jess now wants to help give others functional strength through Pilates.

New classes

Alexis and Jess have now joined our team of teachers and we have some new classes for you to try. Alexis is starting an early morning class as well as her Monday lunchtime course and Jess is teaching the Saturday 10am class and will be using her experience to teach PIlates for athletes, coming soon.
